Role in ReLEAF:

Anecoop’s work in the project consists of the integrated design of innovative bio-based solutions for specific agricultural products with high added value in fresh produce in Europe. Innovative solutions for fresh produce will have a significant impact on the horticultural sector in Europe, covering the entire chain of actors from the farmer/producer to the end user/consumer and the post-use management of waste from fruit and vegetable plants. In this sense, it will work on the characterization of existing waste in southern Europe.
Another of the lines of work will be the Optimization of the design of bio-based, compostable solutions to achieve the properties required by each of the fresh products throughout their entire life cycle by combining biological solutions.
Evaluate the solutions developed with pilot scaling, prototyping and testing, Validation of the final commercial prototypes with full-scale production of prototypes and demonstration within the fields of company experiences with the active participation of all the actors involved and evaluate the risk versus benefit and cost of using the alternative solutions developed
