Two non-technical barriers that may affect ReLEAF BBFs marketability were identify: the regulatory framework and the acceptance of the obtained products, as they are produced from non-conventional sources. This document presents the regulatory framework and end-user requirements for this type of fertilizer, and it constitutes the deliverable D1.1. produced within WP1.
In this regard, this deliverable looks at the current regulation to provide a complete picture of how the EU regulates fertilizing products with special attention to the legislation relevant for ReLEAF bio-based ingredients.
