The ReLEAF Project EU consortium gathered in Wageningen, The Netherlands, on 12 and 13 May for its biannual partner meeting. Hosted by EFFoST, the meeting brought together project partners to review progress, discuss ongoing challenges, and plan the next stages of the project.
Over the course of the two-day meeting, partners presented updates and results from across the project’s work packages. Discussions covered feedstock requirements and technology optimisation for compound extraction and ingredient production, fertiliser formulation and production technologies, fertiliser efficiency and soil quality assessment, sustainability evaluations, and communication and dissemination activities.
The consortium also held dedicated sessions focused on exploitation activities and Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) methodologies. During these workshops, partners explored the objectives, benefits, and practical application of SSbD approaches within the project, as well as strategies to support exploitation and value chain co-creation to ensure circularity.

The meeting provided an opportunity for partners to exchange knowledge, align ongoing activities, and strengthen collaboration across the consortium as the project moves forward.
Alongside the technical discussions, partners also took part in social activities, including a visit to a local brewery in Wageningen and a consortium dinner, creating additional opportunities for networking and informal exchange.
