ReLEAF presented bio-based solutions at CBE JU Stakeholder Forum

ReLEAF was recently represented at the CBE JU Stakeholder Forum in Brussels, an important event bringing together stakeholders to discuss progress and opportunities in the circular bio-based economy across Europe.

The project was represented by Leitat, the project coordinator. The forum provided an opportunity to engage with the wider CBE JU community and exchange insights on innovative bio-based solutions.

During the event, ReLEAF presented several technologies currently under development within the project. These included a granulated bio-based fertiliser rich in ammonium sulphate derived from sewage sludge, as well as a pelletised soil-enhancement fertiliser enriched with microbial biomass and coated with fish by-products. The project also showcased sustainable planting pots produced from agricultural residues and sewage sludge, incorporating nutrients such as ammonium sulphate and struvite.

Participation in the forum also enabled the project to connect with other initiatives and stakeholders working in the bio-based sector. In addition to presenting its results, the event provided a platform to exchange knowledge, strengthen existing relationships, and explore new collaboration opportunities within the European bioeconomy landscape.
